Counter Text in National Contemporary Music Theory

The article deals with the term «counter text», which has been 
developed in the modern theory of music. This term helps clarify 
some methods of practical work, which are closely related to the 
phenomena of musical style and texture, which are used in the 
framework of the subjects of the musical-theoretical cycle. The 
author draws parallels between the method of counter text and the 
one used in the fi eld of psycholinguistics.
