ANXIOUS AND DEPRESSIVE REACTIONS IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The article discusses the definition of anxious and depressive reactions and the importance of studying them in general and among young people, students in particular. The authors outline the incidence of anxious and depressive reactions among students and describe the features of gender differences, when women have higher Beck anxiety and depression indices than men. It was also revealed that students who smoke cigarettes have higher Beck anxiety and depression indices compared to students that do not smoke. The authors come to the conclusion about the need for psycho-prophylactic and remedial work to prevent the development of anxiety and depressive disorders.
