Improving the effectiveness of pedagogical activities in the řeld of music education is
becoming a constant topical subject, discussed by many teachers and musicians. The
purpose of this article was to describe the special characteristics of the new digital piano
model and its application in modern piano lessons in China. The author summarises
the structure and principles of digital piano production, characterises advantages and
disadvantages of digital pianos, explains the improvements in the latest digital piano
model, and also presents the sample lessons of piano training with the use of a digital
piano. As a result of the analysis, the author gives recommendations for using a digital
piano in initial piano training.
