A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF OIL PAINTING TEACHING IN CHINESE AND EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES

The article is a comparative study of oil painting professional education in art universities 
of China and Europe. The author carries out a comparative analysis of the historical 
background,  teaching  conceptions,  curricula  features,  experimental  reforms,  social 
development and tendencies of student employment and other aspects of oil painting 
teaching in art universities of Russia, Germany, France, Italy and other countries. The 
author  considers  the  corresponding  projects  of  education  reforms  in  art  universities, reveals  the  differences  in  the  development  of  oil  painting  professional  education  in China  and  Europe  and  the  advantages  and  disadvantages  in  the  teaching  systems  of these countries. This is aimed to propose new ways of implementing reforms of China’s oil painting education system.
