The article is devoted to the modern philosophy of war. The author analyses different
features of the interrelation between individual and public standards of perception of
the war phenomenon. It is noted that the issues of war and peace got maximal coverage
in V. S. Solovyov’s works. The author of the paper proposes considering the theory of
V. S. Solovyov as a basis for the formation of the main components of the interaction
between the army and society.
