The article deals with the history of Finnish orthodox church music in the 20th century. The author reveals continuity of the Russian and Finnish traditions of church singing. The focus is on composers’ personalities, as well as genesis of the national church tradition.
The article presents conclusions about the current state of the Finnish composer school in the aspect of the church singing art.
