The author of the paper analyses musical and historical training of Chinese undergraduate students in the theory and practice of Russian pedagogical education. Adequate music perception is considered as a pedagogical process, and its criteria are defined. The author justifies the purpose, tasks and pedagogical conditions of musical and historical training of Chinese students in terms of forming adequate perception of Russian music.
