Qeshmi, the dialect of Qeshm island, located in the Persian Gulf, part of the Iranian Hormuzgan province, belongs to the South-Western branch of Iranian languages. This article is the fi rst research on the Qeshmi verb morphology in the western
linguistics. The paper focuses on the verbal system of Qeshmi with the usage of comparative data on the dialects of Minab and Bandar-Abbas. The materials about the verb morphology in Qeshmi were collected by the author in 2016 during the fi eld
expedition in South Iran.
