The article explores the phenomenon of Art Déco. The author reconstructs the features of the style in various types and genres, reveals innovative trends and analyzes the works of the “iconic artists” of Art Déco, i.e. Ren Lalique, Paul Poiret, Coco Chanel,
Demetra Chiparus and others. The unique ability of the style for its own revival, its role and signifi cance for introducing the aesthetics to everyday life is emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the creation of the fi rst Art Déco Museum in Moscow,
the promotion of the style in the contemporary art and museum environment of the world and national culture.
