 The article reveals the distinctive features of stylisation, artistic transformation and
creative interpretation in decorative art. The authors explore personality abilities
necessary for solving the tasks of stylisation, transformation and interpretation, and
justify the introduction of these tasks in the educational process. This article identifies
the problems arising in learning the methods of artistically creative transformation of an
object when performing a decorative composition in the context of professional training
of artists of decorative art.
