CHILDREN’S THINKING IN THE LIGHT OF “NAIVE SEMANTICS”

L. V. Mureyko
Price: 50 руб.
Children’s way of understanding reality is considered in the paper with a focus on such a feature as a passion for “flpping” of opposites, to tearing of conventional links between
objects and their fied characteristics, when thinking itself becomes a toy. Attention is
drawn to the ways of going out of a semantic situation of a thinking process, when assessing reverses. A correlative analysis of children’s, mythological and mass types of
thinking looks promising. Through their simple and diffiult questions and the ability
to say “The king is naked”, not paying attention to the majority’s opinion, children can
actualise a review of dogmas and stereotypes – all that people unconsciously accept as
axioms. This determines the relevance and practical importance of fundamental studies
of children’s thinking in the context of a special role of the mass media and their impact
on public and individual consciousness.
Key words: children’s thinking, “naive semantics”, mind game, paradoxical idea,
mass consciousness.
