The article presents the results of the study on unmoving sound localisation in a horizontal plane in a free sound fild in a group of 6–18-month-old children. The authors
describe three periods of localisation, that have their own specifi parameters, and their
variation due to the spatial location of the sound source. The results indicate that the
allocation of three periods of localisation is a necessary condition for the research of
spatial hearing in children.
Key words: spatial hearing, sound localisation, infant and early age, localisation periods
