 The article discusses the view on one of the sides of teachers’ professional activity, aimed at providing individual assistance for cadets in self-development at tactics lessons. In the process of studying the Tactics discipline, cadets become familiar with the knowledge and skills of an offier and a unit commander in order to act in the interests of defense and security of the state. In tactics training, as shown by the pedagogical practice, it is important to transfer the knowledge of military science in conjunction with the development of abstract thinking and intuition of students.
