The article considers the criterion of the truth. It is shown that traditional criteria, such
as correspondence with reality, logical sequence and practical applicability, alienate the
true nature of things from the situation of estimating these things as true or false ones.
This alienation increases the degree of estimation inaccuracy. The criterion suggested
is that of readiness for action, which brings together the true nature of things and the
estimation of this truth by a human mind.
