The principle of anthropocentrism is studied in the paper as a philosophical and
methodological basis of non-image knowledge. The author proves that the observer
principle specifis the principle of anthropocentrism in the realist philosophical and
methodological system of theorising. The author’s position is to consider the observer
principle as a philosophical and methodological basis of non-image knowledge. The
paper can be used in writing educational programmes, lectures, special courses, which
raise and deal with issues of epistemology and methodology of science.
