The article explores the phenomenon of simulacrum. The author’s position is to consider
simulacrum as a form of non-image knowledge obtained through the nominalistic
philosophical and methodological tradition of theorisation. The simulacrum has its own
logic of formation, and, in fact, is a representation. The content of this article can be
used for educational programmes, lectures, special courses that touch upon the theory of
knowledge and methodology of science.
